Mayssa Sultan, MPA, L.Ac.

 

Mayssa Sultan has been a practicing acupuncturist since 2003. She holds a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Masters of Public Administration and is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of California (L.Ac.) and a National Diplomate in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine from the National Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Commission (U.S.). Mayssa co-founded Integrative Clinics International, Inc. (ICI) in 2005 with the intention of creating an international organization where practitioners from all disciplines could come together to provide integrative care to underserved communities.  As part of this work Mayssa is committed to ensuring that the traditional medicines of the communities ICI’s teams visit are studied and incorporated into our work. She began teaching at Meshkah, Fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Point Location in September 2018.

Mayssa is currently based in Cairo, Egypt where she has a private acupuncture practice. In addition to her private practice and work with ICI, Mayssa is working on a conservation project to study the medicinal herbs and traditions of the Bedouin in the mountains of St. Catherine, S. Sinai.
